Celebrating ISO 9001:2015 Certification Milestone Achievement: (From left to right) QualityPlus President Henry O. Palaca, Magna Prime CEO Mr. Derrick Tan, and SGS Operations and Sales Manager Mr. Eric Bernabe.
What this means for Magna Prime is that they are very good at following the basic ideas and principles of the ISO quality management system (QMS), as well as the requirements that come with it. By adhering to this standard, the organization maintains its self-assurance and is constantly prepared to deliver top-notch products and services. Magna Prime’s inventor, CEO, and recipient of the Agora Award, Derrick Tan, states, “It is to see our country be at par with world-class construction chemical products,” when asked about the company’s desire to become ISO certified.
“Assigning the appropriate task to capable individuals is crucial,” Tan says, highlighting the critical function of delegation within the business and recognizing the necessity of ISO. When a business grows without solid foundational procedures in place, mayhem follows. ISO is a resolution for a more efficient corporation that can achieve long-term success. Magna Prime has been able to secure its position as a forerunner in the worldwide construction chemical products industry by obtaining ISO certification, which ensures that its expansion is backed by efficient procedures. This allows the company to maintain high levels of efficiency and quality even as it grows.
Buildrite Construction Chemicals, Sinclair Paints, and Max Bond Adhesives are three of Magna Prime’s popular products that Tan founded. Tan is a pioneering innovator with four patents that solve problems and ease concerns in the construction sector. In the Philippines, we created a new category for construction chemicals by filling in the gaps, educating the sector, and developing innovative products and techniques. Then Tan goes on.
Magna Prime’s achievement of ISO 9001:2015 is proof of its unwavering commitment to quality, which serves as the basis for its success. As a result of their rigorous quality management system, they are able to provide unmatched quality at every stage of their business process, from product design and development to sales and distribution, service delivery, and customer relations. This not only benefits their customers but also their business partners. The use of tools and testing techniques that are up-to-date and above industry standards is something that we ensure at all times, according to Tan.
Magna Prime is always taking the initiative to maintain its standards, which is a reflection of the firm’s dedication to excellence. For example, the company has strengthened its customer relations team to provide more personal service and tightened supplier accreditation to guarantee the best quality raw materials. The company is also committed to strengthening each team through strategic reorganization, acquiring new laboratory equipment to ensure all products adhere to ASTM standards, and establishing precise departmental quality objectives. These initiatives will help mitigate future challenges.
These things show how committed Magna Prime is to making sure all of their services and processes are optimized to provide consistently high-quality results.
Hiya, Malasakit, Tiyaga, and Malikhain—the four pillars upon which Magna Prime is built—remain unshaken as the company rises to the top of the global standards food chain. All products and services will be quality-checked to ensure they meet or exceed international standards. “If we can’t get ourselves in order at home, how can we expect to be organized when we venture out into the world?” How do we earn the market’s trust? “We are committed to upholding integrity and excellence in both domestic and international markets,” says Tan, representing the company’s commitment.
Under the leadership of its creator, Derrick Tan, Magna Prime Chemical Technologies, Inc. has reached a major milestone in its quest for market. dominance and excellence; as a result, the firm is now equal to the world’s leading manufacturers of construction chemical products.

The Philippines is about to get a game-changing energy storage option that relies heavily on hydrogen. The introduction of Taxas-based Harnyss’s proprietary low-pressure hydrogen storage technologies could significantly improve renewable energy sources.
A hydrogen power system is the new technology that Harnyss developed. This system can harness atmospheric water or other readily available sources to make hydrogen. The fuel cells in the setup then store the hydrogen (using a supercapacitor) until they can use it to produce energy.
The patented method employs low-pressure hydrogen at a density of approximately 250 lbs/sq in, which is up to ten times lower than the conventional 2,500 lbs/sq in. Hydrogen is bound to strategic elements inside the unique canisters to make this feasible.
More efficient energy storage
When contrasted with traditional energy storage solutions that rely on riskier lithium-ion batteries, Harnyss stands out thanks to its use of non-rare earth minerals. As a result, the system is safer, less likely to catch fire, and has a battery life that is far longer and more efficient than the standard lithium-ion battery (approximately 20 to 30 years with negligible deterioration compared to the normal 10-year lifespan).
The Oasis and Oasis 2 storage units by Harnyss are designed for long-term and basic energy storage, respectively. These units act as a “microgrid-in-a-box” and store hydrogen and energy. The two systems are compatible with eight AC and DC inputs, can store energy for around 18 to 36 hours, and can scale from 500 KWh to 100 MWh and beyond. Airports, hospitals, data centres, and government or military facilities are recommended to use Oasis 2’s 1.4 MWh of energy storage per 40′ container, while off-grid electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and grid support are ideal for Oasis’s 4.5 MWh of long-duration energy storage per 40′ container.
Both Oasis systems could theoretically store power from the grid, which is commercially available electricity, as well as from increasingly popular renewable energy sources like solar and wind panels.
Suitable for PH
Because of its superior practicality, Harnyss technology is ideal for the Philippines. New hydrogen technology allows for more efficient energy storage and use on demand. In addition, it is extremely eco-friendly since its waste product is only water, and it produces far fewer emissions.
The entry of Harnyss technology into the country coincides with the government of the Philippines realising that hydrogen could be a solution to its energy problems. The Department of Energy (DOE) published Circular No. 2024-01-0001 in January 2024, which established the principles, fundamental framework, and policy for hydrogen in the energy sector.
Green hydrogen and its derivatives are being incentivized for use in power production and other potential applications through tax breaks and other government incentives. This is all part of an effort to accelerate the development of hydrogen technology.
In an effort to alleviate the nation’s present energy crisis, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos has often voiced his support for alternative energy sources and related technologies. “The Philippines is open to any kind of power supply that can address energy problems,” he has said time and time again.
