Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the first and only world-class theme park in the Philippines, brightens the holidays with An Enchanted Christmas Story starting with the Christmas Tree Lighting and launch of EK’s Giant Parol on November 26, Sunday.
EK tapped a renowned lantern maker from Pampanga, Eric Bondoc Quiwa, in the creation of the 22-foot Parol to be installed at the Agila Grounds. This will be the centrepiece of the theme park’s holiday events along with 100 parols around the park. Quiwa will share this bright and colourful tradition in creating the biggest parol thus far in the country.
Additionally, EK and Firefly Lighting CeleBrights moments with the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony for all to enjoy at the Spaceport.
According to EK President and Chairman Mario Mamon, EK is committed to showcasing the Filipino Christmas tradition of parols and local decorations to bring nostalgia during the holiday season. “It is no doubt that Christmas is the most festive and magical time of the year in the Philippines. Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the first and only world-class theme park in the Philippines, officially launched its 28th-anniversary roster of events this October at the Eldar’s Theater in EK, on October 1. The year-long celebration with the theme What’s Your Enchanted Story? places the spotlight on recreating enchanting stories from the past and creating new magical experiences for every guest.
“Enchanted Kingdom remains to be part of our guests’ personal milestones throughout its 28 years. Due to popular demand, the main anniversary highlight will be the Sky Wizardry Fireworks Competition, returning eight years after its last spectacle and happening every Saturday in October. “Apart from entertaining and dazzling the guests’, Enchanted Kingdom has collaborated with Filipino fireworks manufacturers to showcase their products and creativity. STARBOOKS, the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) interactive kiosk system and digital library in a box, containing thousands of carefully curated knowledge content. Two units will be installed at the park’s Agila the EKsperience in partnership with DOST.

Enchanted Kingdom, the first and only world-class theme park in the Philippines, turned over its 9th adopted classroom to Dila Elementary School in Santa Rosa City, Laguna in support of the 2023 Brigada Eskwela of the Department of Education (DepEd).
According to DepEd, this year’s theme “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan,” underscored the country’s volunteer initiatives to ensure a clean, safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment for learners and teaching and non-teaching personnel, and strengthen resiliency of schools and basic education.
The adopt-a-classroom program is in line with EK’s advocacy in promoting a fun, unique and healthy learning environment for students. In this program, EK’s very own maintenance personnel and visual artists repaired, upgraded and repainted the turned over classroom.
Mr. Mario Mamon, Chairman and President of EK affirmed the theme park’s continuous support to DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela and the community in the City of Santa Rosa, Laguna. “Enchanted Kingdom is committed to sharing and upholding Eldar the Wizard’s positive values of kindness, humility, patience, honesty, diligence, generosity and love for God and family. We hope that through our efforts of improving the children’s learning environment, we will be able to encourage the youth to adopt and put these positive values into practice,” he added.

Halloween is in the air, and Enchanted Kingdom is riding the spooky season high. After years of successful Halloween surprises, a new attraction awaits EK’s thrill-seeker patrons. Last October 15, 2022, Alcatraz had its grand opening available to all park guests.
Alcatraz produced by Recreation Concepts is taking the haunt experience to the next level with its state-of-the-art set design and spine-chilling characters. To make the experience close to reality, guests will have their mugshot taken first right after they enter. From there, they must find their way out of the ominous maximum-security prison and come face-to-face with rioting inmates and deranged criminals.
